I have described earlier how to upgrade WordPress manually, if you are not able to upgrade it automatically from your admin panel. It might have to be done if you are not willing to do auto upgrade or your host (free Hosts) doesn’t support it.
Anyway, today I am telling you the simple way to upgrade WordPress manually. Just download the latest version from wordpress.org. Extract it and upload the extracted file in your root directory- where the WordPress is installed. You can now log in to your admin panel and do the upgrade if still it is there, I mean the upgrade notification. It’s simple and easy.
Oh! Forgot to say, you must have a FTP user, host and password to upload the file in your host server. Again- choose rewrite all the files when asked. That should do all. And please take a backup of your data from the “import “option in the WP admin panel before any thing you want to do. Safety first always.
